PLAN TO INVOLVE
With unlimited client-controlled users and hierarchical access restrictions,
Shadow-Planner enables a broad cross section of individuals to be
involved in the planning process from the outset. This encourages
plan ownership, ensuring business continuity planning becomes embedded
in an organisation’s operational culture.
PLAN TO MAINTAIN
Shadow-Planner employs an automated email based taskmanagement system
to minimise the time involved in plan management while ensuing that
the plan is always kept up to date. Task reminder emails are issued
to nominated individuals telling them that the relevant part of
the plan needs to be updated. If the task is not then completed
within the pre-agreed time frame, an escalation alert email can
be automatically issued.
PLAN TO DEPLOY
It is vital to be able to establish a central planning standard
and then deploy it to departmental, regional or international satellites.
Shadow-Planner enables a division, branch or region to adopt the
core plan but adapt the contents where appropriate. The system will
only show the information unique or relevant to that site or unit
yet will ensure conformity to a corporate standard complete with
simple centralised management.
PLAN TO PROTECT
Hosted online, Shadow-Planner
doesn’t need to be installed on the network and can be accessed
through the internet from anywhere at any time. All procedures,
action plans and contact details are automatically encrypted using
strong encryption. The information is hosted on a Unix platform
at a secure site and connected via a 128 bit encrypted SSL link
backed up by an independently hosted mirror server.
PLAN TO CONTROL
Shadow-Planner’s PDF report generator can be used to distribute
clear reports to plan holders, minimising the time and resources
required to keep the plan current while ensuring that only the updated
version of the plan is available.
